This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to three days per week remote. Remote work must be performed within the state of Iowa. Preferably, in-person work days will be on UNI's campus, but working from Iowa State or University of Iowa's campus is negotiable. Employees who elect remote work must comply with the requirements of our remote work policy and agreement.
 
 
Impact & Responsibilities: Reporting to the UNI College of Education Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies and Teacher Education, this position serves as the initial contact for the Regents Alternative Pathway to Iowa Licensure (RAPIL) program; implements policies and procedures; coordinates with faculty and facilitates faculty meetings; coordinates curriculum review and program renewal processes; fosters the network between Iowa school districts and admitted intern candidates; coordinates field experiences; creates and maintains all administrative resources in accordance with the RAPIL Governance Team; in coordination with the RAPIL Student Support Coordinator, provides support for prospective and current RAPIL intern candidates and district partners; and ensures visibility of the program throughout the state and with various stakeholder groups.
 
Requirements: Master’s degree in education or a related field; At least three years of experience as an educator, including classroom teaching experience or educational leadership/administration experience; high-level of organizational skills; and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Frequent travel will be necessary.
 
Preferred: Experience in higher education, including a strong working knowledge of teacher preparation including student teaching/internships and the Educator Preparation Program (EPP) approval process; experience using databases and other forms of technology; ability to communicate with multiple audiences; ability to network with school personnel; and ability to work independently and collaboratively in both face-to-face and online environments.
