Suzuki Instructor

Impact & Responsibilities: Conducts individual and/or group lessons; schedules and prepares classes, communicates with parents; promotes consistency among the Suzuki teachers and staff and participates in regular communication between other Suzuki instructors and staff; and performs other related duties as assigned. This position is estimated at 4-5 hours per week with the potential for additional hours based on availability and need.
 
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree; at least one year of performance experience on violin and/or viola; completion of Suzuki training through Suzuki Association of the Americas (SAA); and demonstration of proficiency on both violin and viola through a recorded or live audition.
Student experience with Suzuki Method will be considered.
 
Preferred: Master’s degree; at least one year of Suzuki teaching experience in violin and/or viola, including group and chamber music teaching experience; and training through Suzuki book 4.
